Big Sur (July 13 - 15, 2000)
Admired for its beautiful forests, craggy peaks, and breathtaking coastline,
Big Sur was impressive. It covers a large area along the Pacific Ocean
and can best be seen along Highway 1, which runs along the California
coastline.

I happened to be in Big Sur at a time when I could see the moon rise and the sun set, all at the same time. Here the moon relieves the sun and begins its shift. |

As if the road couldn't make up its mind to climb the mountains or jump into the sea, your drive through Big Sur will feel like a dance with the gods. |
