Many family members, friends, and friends of friends have asked if there is anything they can do to help me or bring attention to my case. Some have expressed a desire to write a letter to the Peace Corps or even their local officials on my behalf.
If you would like to write such letters, here is some information that may make this process easier for you.
Please note that I am neither requesting or encouraging you to write on my behalf. I'm merely providing an easy means for you to do so if you so choose. I do, however, appreciate your support.
Who To Write
The Peace Corps is an independent agency within the executive branch of
the United States government. The Senate Foreign Relations Committee is
charged with general oversight of the activities and programs of the Peace
Corps, and the House Committee on International Relations serves a similar
function. Below I provide contact information for both committees.
Others might choose to contact their local elected officials. For that, I direct you to a great website that makes that process quick and easy.
If you'd rather direct your concerns directly to the Peace Corps office in DC and/or the office in Guyana, you'll be interested in these email addresses.
And for those who just wish to cover it all, I've organized an easy way for you to send a single email to the committee heads or senior officials of most of the above mentioned organizations.
