Types of Early Termination
There are four types of early terminations:
- Resignation - all trainees and volunteers have the right to
resign at any time, for any reason, during their training or service.
- Medical Separation - used if a health condition arises that
precludes continued service.
- Interrupted Service - used when the country director determines
that circumstances beyond the control of the trainee or volunteer make
it necessary for the trainee or volunteer to leave his or her present
assignment.
- Administrative Separation - used when a trainee or volunteer
should no longer continue Peace Corps service for the interest of all
concerned.
